The BIG BATTLE
Date: 16/12/11 Location: Battersea Music and Mess Hall Weather Conditions: Indoors Extreme Rating: * * * Dangers & Annoyances: Distraction caused by proximity of delicious cheese and port
Result: 1st B Martin ( 1 point) 2nd D Woolridge (o point)
Match Report: The most anticipated match up of the season was decided with a single shot shoot out. Martin sat at Number One in the World, Woolridge second, the tension was high, the ale was brewed with discretion and never with haste. Both launched their mar-boules into the bar area... the boules rolled and jostled and then settled. The onlookers watched with port stained eyes, a hand was outstretched ready to shake Woolridge's hand, then Martin exploded with delight. Confusion reigned. Who had won? All agreed on Martin and more ale was consumed. The World Title would soon be someone's to cherish......

Post Wedding Party Indoor Mar-Boule Action
Date: 16th December Location: Battersea Mess Hall Weather: Indoor match Extreme Rating: * * * Dangers and Annoyances: Too much delicious ale. Toilet doors and sofas.
Result: 1st G Searle (3 points) 2nd S Charles (1 point) 3rd = T Wort, A Betts & Matt (0 points)
Match Report: A blurry post wedding match, played in the area just between the toilets and bar of Battersea Mess Hall, saw some good mar -boule action. Stan Charles made a welcome return to the scene playing like a zesty child, but it was Searle who took all the plundits with his domination of the sofa rounds. Some of the mar - boules may have vanished but no one can remember.
